Getting to Wine Country

‍The best way to reach Wine Country is to fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO), which is approximately an hour drive away from Napa.

Other nearby airports include:

  • Oakland International Airport (OAK; 63 miles)
  • Sacramento International Airport (SMF; 75 miles)
  • San Jose International Airport (SJC; 94 miles)
  • Sonoma County Airport (STS; 34 miles)

‍Renting a car would be the most convenient way to get around, however there are other options for those who would rather not drive.

Here's a useful guide you can refer to for other transportation options (and other info about Napa Valley).

Where to Stay

We have a room block at The Westin Verasa Napa which is conveniently located near Downtown Napa and is walking distance to many of Napa’s restaurants, shops, and tasting rooms.

Our block rate is valid through July 17th-July 27th if you’re interested in spending a few extra days. Rooms must be booked by June 15th in order to get the block rate.

Book Here

Note: We will have a shuttle service from the hotel to the wedding venue on the big day.

Other Hotels in the Area

If The Westin doesn't suit your needs or is all booked up, here are some more recommendations for other hotels in the Napa Area. There are lots of AirBnbs and VRBO options as well.

Note: The Westin Verasa only offers rooms with King Beds, which may be inconvenient for families. We recommend The River Terrace Inn, located next door, for other room configurations.

FAQs

Some more info about the event(s). We may have missed something so please feel free to reach out with other questions.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Everyone's RSVP'd at this point. Good work team! Just let us know if you've can't make it anymore.

What time should I get to the Wedding Ceremony on Sunday?

Please aim to get to the venue by 4PM so you can find a spot to sit and get comfy before the nuptials begin right at 4:30!

We recommend taking the shuttle from the Westin Verasa

What should I wear?

Dress to impress! Something formal, but in that summer way. Skip the tux. The wedding party will be wearing this kind of color, so maybe avoid that.

Keep in mind that the ceremony and dinner will be outdoors so it will be ❤️🔥 hot ❤️🔥. Average weather in Sonoma for July is around 84°F in the daytime and can get down to the low 50s in the evening.
NorCal pro tip: always bring a jacket.

This also means that you’ll be walking on grass so stilettos, stilts, and Heely’s are probably not a good idea.

Is there parking at the venue?

The Barn at Harrow Cellars has limited designated parking. If you are able, please take advantage of our shuttle service.

Tea ceremony? What is a tea ceremony? Am I invited?

The Chinese tradition, a wedding tea ceremony is where the bride and groom serve tea to their respective families as a gesture of respect and gratitude. It is a way for the bride and groom to show their appreciation for the love and support that their families have given them throughout their lives.

All participants have been made aware, so if you have to ask, the answer is probably no. However, you are welcome to quietly observe the ceremony at any time between 4:30 and 6 in the Cepage room.

Mario Kart tournament? What is Mario Kart? Why Mario Kart?

There will be a Mario Kart tournament during Cocktail Hour. If you are interested in participating, please be sure to respond on the RSVP. Uhhh y'all were really excited to play Mario Kart at a wedding! Due the unexpectedly high interest, we're just going to have open one-off races that anyone can join. Winners of those races will then qualify for th semifinals.

Fun fact: We used to play Mario Kart together online when we were long-distance.

COVID Policy

Currently there are no COVID restrictions in place for our wedding day. Masks are optional, but encouraged if you are more comfortable with one on. Our wedding is mostly outdoors with lots of airflow. Should any restrictions change, we will inform everyone as soon as we know and will update the information on our website accordingly. We do ask that if you are feeling unwell or have a known exposure to COVID within 10 days of our wedding, to please abstain from joining us. As much as we'll miss you, we can celebrate together when you're better.

If the wedding is in Sonoma, why is the hotel/welcome dinner and farewell brunch venue in Napa?

There wasn’t a hotel in Sonoma that could hold us. Oops. :)

Are you going to change your last names to Kwanchov?

Probably not.

Will Cleo be in the wedding?

OF COURSE!

See you there!
